May 1, 2010 • "Feeders and Backyard Tips" with Dolores Hagen, Saturday at 2:00 pm in the backyard of the Hagen residence, 212 North 6th Street, the Banding Site for 2010.
The workshop will take you through the planning and development of the garden and feeder placement that has become the nerve center for Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah, the BANDING SITE. From the care of feeders to the placement of certain flowers, Dolores will share how the hummingbirds use this location as "home" in great numbers, allowing for the banding of these birds to take place during their "feeding frenzy" every August.
